Terms & conditions
1) EligibilityYou must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore permanent resident. You must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum academic qualification of an O'level certificate and good grades in the subjects that you wish to teach. Registration as a tutor is Free-of charge.
2) Commission fee charged StarGuide Tuition is to collect a one-time 50% of tutor's first month's tuition fee (4 teaching weeks). The fee will be collected by StarGuide directly from the parents at the end of the 2nd teaching week. The Balance 50% of the fee will be paid directly to the tutor by the parent at the end of 4th teaching week. Subsequent months' fees will be fully paid directly to tutor.
3) Termination of AssignmentThe minimum commitment period of an assignment is 1 month (4 teaching weeks).
- If you terminate an assignment after the first or the second teaching week, you will NOT receive any salary. Starguide Tuition will collect all the outstanding fees from the parents as the commission fee.
- If you terminate an assignment after the third or the fourth teaching week, the first and the second teaching weeks' fees go to Starguide Tuition as commission fee and you will receive the balance as your salary.
- If the student terminates the assignment before the one month commitment period, you will only receive 50% of the fee for all your service hours as the salary while balance of 50% will goes to StarGuide Tuition as commission. However, if the reason for the student's termination is due to your fault as a tutor (eg. always late and did not attend lesson without any valid reason or improper teaching during the lessons), you will NOT receive any salary.
